Hello, it’s Joy

Thank you for stopping by to visit…

I would love to meet you soon, but until then, here’s a little bit about me, your future personal image consultant.  From Nigeria to America, my life can be defined as the American dream.  Through the tragedies, the victories, the successes, and from living abroad to living in the U.S., by default I became a multi-cultural renaissance woman.  My passion in fashion clearly reflect my life experiences.

I believe  that you can be anything you want to be if you work hard enough, so I’ve taken that attitude throughout my life, and taught myself many different skills.  In addition to being a Image Consultant and Stylist, I’m also a model, and TV personality/host.

With over 15 years in the fashion and image industry, my clients receive the desired results of more confidence, and a better understanding of personal image.

My love for fashion began as a child in the 80’s during the “Super model” era.  I idolized models such as Naomi Campbell, Paulina Porizkova, Cindy Crawford, Iman, Linda Evangelista and more.   Who would have thought that twenty years later, I would embark on my own career as a fashion model.  I’ve enjoyed amazing experiences while working with top industry professionals. I’ve even graced the covers of AT&T Magazine, Fashion Washington Magazine, I AM Modern Magazine, and Global Woman’s Magazine.  These experiences along with my travels to various continents have provided me with a unique perspective on fashion, and a better understanding of working with people from different walks of life and backgrounds.

Athletics and Academics round off my wealth of experience in fashion and I believe lend to my diverse professional journey through various industries.  These encounters ultimately helped hone my unique skill in refining and defining women of all backgrounds.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a minor in Broadcasting from George Mason University where I was a recipient of a full Division I scholarship in Volleyball.  I was an honor roll student; served as team captain for two years; and was voted the MVP in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Conference during my GMU tenure.  I was honored by my high school hometown of Harrisonburg, VA with the establishment of the Joy Kingsley-Ibeh Collegiate Female Student Athlete Award, which is given annually to the top collegiate athlete in the Shenandoah Valley.  In 2010 I was honored as a CAA Volleyball Silver Anniversary Team member, because I still rank in the top 25 best volleyball athletes in the CAA history.  Following my college career, I embarked on a dream of a lifetime when I signed a contract at 21 years of age to play professional volleyball in Vught, Holland, I was ranked best 23 of 30 elite players in Holland.

All these amazing opportunities, laid the groundwork for me to know how to better serve my clients, and to understand cultural and physical image desires.

I hope to work with you, and look forward to serving your image needs.
